Mosaic Biosciences and Tango Biosciences Partner to Accelerate Critical Reagent Discovery

Published: July 20, 2026 | Category: News, Partnerships
Mosaic Biosciences today announced a strategic partnership with Tango Biosciences, a premier CRO for custom phage display solutions, to expand Mosaic’s critical reagent discovery portfolio. The collaboration delivers high-quality, selective binders, including anti-idiotype antibodies, ADA positive controls, and tool antibodies, in as little as four weeks from antigen to validated reagent.
Solving One of Drug Development’s Most Common Bottlenecks
Critical reagents are essential to support PK/PD assays, immunogenicity testing, and clinical-stage programs. Yet traditional in vivo approaches to generating anti-idiotype antibodies, ADA positive controls, and tool antibodies can take several months, creating real delays for development-stage teams when timelines are already under pressure.
The Mosaic-Tango partnership addresses this directly by combining Tango Biosciences’ proven in vitro phage display platform with Mosaic’s integrated downstream infrastructure, including protein engineering, assay development, Carterra SPR characterization, and tech transfer. The result is a streamlined, platform-agnostic path from target to validated reagent, without the time and animal-use burden of immunization-based approaches.
“Critical reagent timelines are among the biggest constraints we hear about from development-stage teams. This partnership gives our clients a powerful in vitro option that is fast, cost-efficient, and backed by Mosaic’s full downstream infrastructure. It is exactly the kind of integrated, platform-agnostic model we built Mosaic to deliver.”
— Jean-Pierre Wery, CEO, Mosaic Biosciences
What Tango Biosciences Brings to the Platform
Tango Biosciences brings decades of phage display expertise and a portfolio of more than 35 high-quality antibody and peptide libraries, spanning Fab, scFv, VHH, and monobody formats, with an industry-leading success rate exceeding 95%. The company’s Nobel Prize-winning phage display methodology enables rapid, scalable screening across a range of formats and targets.
“Mosaic Biosciences is a natural fit for this collaboration, combining our world-class libraries with Mosaic’s deep pipeline of downstream capabilities. Their client-focused strategy and consultative approach ensure that hits from our phage display platform have a clear path to fully validated, assay-ready reagents. Together, we can offer clients broader solutions, from discovery to validation, to streamline their programs.”

How the Partnership Works
Mosaic Biosciences serves as the primary point of contact for integrated critical reagent programs. Tango Biosciences provides library access and phage display execution. Downstream characterization, assay development, and tech transfer remain within Mosaic’s integrated service model, giving clients a single coordinated experience from screening through validated, assay-ready reagent delivery.
The partnership is available immediately. Clients working on anti-idiotype antibodies, ADA positive controls, tool antibodies, or other critical reagents requiring fast turnaround are encouraged to reach out to the Mosaic team to discuss their program.
